  This article went in-depth on the situation of a woman named Lena Cason, Lena grew up in Arizona nearby a section of land where the united states government had been testing nuclear weapons in preparation for the cold war. As a result of this nuclear testing, many of the residents in the surrounding areas developed many different kinds of illnesses and ailments. Lena Carson was one of these victims, in 2013 she received a colon cancer diagnosis, and as a result of this diagnosis, she was entitled to financial compensation from the united states government. Unfortunately over the past one hundred or so years, humans have shifted their viewpoint of wildfires from something that can cleanse and rejuvenate the land to something whose sole purpose is t be violent and destructive.  my favorite place in nature is anywhere in the woods in the wintertime, specifically when there's snow on the trees. I love love love when there's fresh snow in the woods and everything is white and covered in ice and snow.  I love skiing and snowshoeing in the winter and I think this is a big reason why, it doesn't really matter where I am but as long as I'm outside and there's snow on the trees ill be happy!
